Have you misunderstood what the New Testament teaches about God’s Law?
Can you improve what is already perfect?
Psalm 19:7 says that God’s law is perfect. Yet, some claim this perfect law has been “improved” or even
set aside. Can something already perfect be improved? Does it make sense for God to abolish something
that he calls flawless? Is it possible that many misunderstand what the New Testament teaches about the
law of God?
Does one need to be freed from what is already liberty?
Psalm 119:44-45 says that God’s law gives freedom. However, some teach that believers were “freed”
from God’s law. Why would God liberate us from something that gives us liberty? Is it possible that
many misunderstand what the New Testament teaches about the law of God? If the law is freedom,
should we want to be “freed” from freedom?
Is all Scripture truly intended for training in righteousness?
In 2 Timothy 3:16, Paul affirms that “all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” Yet, some argue that certain parts of
Scripture—specifically, God’s laws—have been set aside and no longer apply to believers today. If that
were true, then at least some Scripture would not be profitable for training in righteousness. But does
that align with what Paul is actually saying?
When Paul says “all Scripture,” does he mean every word, or only select portions? Could it be that many
today have misunderstood what the New Testament actually teaches about God’s law?
God’s law is perfect, freedom, and training for righteousness; why wouldn’t we seek to understand how
ALL of it shapes our walk with him?
If you want to explore how the entire Word of God is meant to be part of our faith and understand how
the New Testament does not teach that the law of God was abolished or changed, we invite you to visitthe 119 Ministries YouTube channel or our website at TestEverything.net.
Come see how we can apply the whole word of God to our lives.
Shalom, and may Yahweh bless you in walking in the whole Word of God.
